Newmarket-Aurora MPP and Health Minister Christine Elliott today released a special video message congratulating the Grade 12 graduating class of Newmarket High.
Elliott acknowledged that while this school year “looked a little different over the past few months” due to school closures to stop the spread of COVID-19, students have every reason to be proud of their perseverance, resilience, and strength through these tough times.
“I know this isn’t how you imagined celebrating your graduation,” Elliott said. “I am so excited for your future, because today is also a day to welcome the next chapter in your lives. While there's no question these are unprecedented times, so are the opportunities before you.”
